AUDITIONS for the award-winning Rhode Island Children's Chorus will be held on the date listed below. All children ages 7-17 who enjoy singing are encouraged to audition for our 16th season. Singers will meet individually with Dr. Christine Noel, who will guide them through vocal exercises to evaluate range, tone quality and overall musical aptitude (Dr. Noel will sing quietly with younger children, if necessary). They will be asked to sing a simple song (eg. "Happy Birthday"), or another song of their choosing. High school students should plan a more challenging song (a choral piece or a musical theatre selection is fine).  If your son/daughter prefers to sing with piano accompaniment, please have him/her bring the sheet music of the song to be sung. They will not need to be present for the entire session and may come in at any time during the audition period. The audition itself will take 4-5 minutes. All young children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. We understand that some may be shy, but this will be a very positive and encouraging experience. No appointment is necessary. Please note that there are limited openings for some of our classes.

At the audition, please specify which rehearsal location you would prefer.

New member auditions for the 2019-20 season will be held in June and August. We are especially seeking Tenors and Basses for our
High School Honor Choir, but we have openings in all groups and encourage all interested students to audition.
For questions on membership, please contact Chorus Manager, Mrs. Trish Teeter:
