Tenor Section Leader
BASS section leader

The RI Children’s Chorus seeks a Tenor and a Bass to serve as section leaders / rehearsal assistants for the Rhode Island High School Honor Choir. The Honor Choir, conducted by Dr. Christine Noel and accompanied and assisted by Mr. John Black, meets on Tuesdays from 5:00-6:30pm at the Carter Center for Music Education of the Rhode Island Philharmonic (East Providence).

The ideal candidate for each position is a college student or young adult with extensive choral experience, an outgoing personality and leadership skills, and a skilled singer who would serve as a positive role model to our high school students and a vocal model for our Tenor and Bass sections. Responsibilities include learning music quickly and helping to lead the section in rehearsals, cultivating a welcoming and inclusive community, and assisting in admin capacities (checking in students, passing out music, etc). Our staff members contribute extensively to the overall student experience and have the capacity to influence many lives for the better. The teaching assistants help to ensure that students feel seen and known by getting to know them and helping others to do the same. Compensation: $30/rehearsal. Concert fees commensurate with experience.
